Okay, no more writing in the Xanga for me. I won't enumerate the reasons, but if you feel some need to know, ask me and I'll be completely blunt.

I'll still read my subscriptions and comment or whatever, but this is the last Xanga entry for me unless some crazy thing happens and I need to notify the 4 people (including me) who read this. These are people I talk to outside of Xanga, which I guess, underscores the importance -- or lack thereof -- of this communication medium.

Life just got a whole lot bigger.

This is the first time in 5 years where my summer is mine. Any reading or learning I do is brought upon my [masochistic] self.

So I have more time than I know what to do with.

And when I have time I know what to do with, I don't have enough of it. Normally this time is filled to the proverbial brim, swirling, and crashing around. And then there's me. Let's pretend I am the olive in this well-shaken martini. In the midst of all this action, it's easy to get lost, but here -- here is the great paradox: sometimes in getting lost, I find myself.

That has been some of my summer so far. If you haven't figured it out yet, I write more in my LiveJournal (user: automath). So if you want to know more juicy details, that is juicy details central. Unfortunately, a good deal of my posts are friends-only. Ah, whatever. Get a LiveJournal!

I just burninated a cd. Here are the tracks:
01 | "Maps" - Yeah Yeah Yeahs
02 | "December 4th" - Danger Mouse Re-Mix (Jay-Z and The Beatles)
03 | "A Certain Shade of Green" - Incubus
04 | "The Ascent of Stan" - Ben Folds
05 | "Talk About Our Love" - Brandy ft. Kanye West
06 | "La Dernière Minute" - Carla Bruni
07 | "Trouble" - Coldplay
08 | "Maybe" - N.E.R.D.
09 | "Arabesque" - Debussy
10 | "Oh Jerusalem" - Lauryn Hill
11 | "99 Problems" - Danger Mouse Re-Mix (Jay-Z and The Beatles)
12 | "The Mystery of Iniquity" - Lauryn Hill
13 | "Tear" - Red Hot Chili Peppers
14 | "Say You'll Be There" - Spice Girls
15 | "Do You Realize" - The Flaming Lips
16 | "A Boozehound Named Barney" - The Simpsons
17 | "When I Get You Alone" - Thicke
18 | "Sweet Marie" - The Anniversary
19 | "As" - Stevie Wonder

There. If you knew nothing about the music I like, now you know 19 tracks of the myriad I like in ... this soundtrack ... called ... life. Haha, cheesy.

THE FACEBOOK RULES.

Oh, yes -- Ronald Reagan died! 'Tis a sad and bittersweet day for all Republicans, and even borderline Republicans like myself.

One more thing. The Renaissance Assembly marked a small milestone -- milepebble, I could say -- for all of us. So with that, a premature goodbye to you, high school. To say I will miss you would be a lie. I'll miss some of y'all (I picked up "y'all" when I went to Texas. By the way, my brother got married to a Dallasite.), of course. But high school as a whole can get a general screw over from me, with no guilt on my part.

I can be very much the jellyfish at times; I will just mindlessly float along with things. School, for example. I still put some effort into learning, but other than that, school-related issues are not permanent residents in my head.

One of those issues is that of graduation. I haven't really thought about it or how soon it's coming till recently. Other classmates don't have my same jellyfish mentality and have been counting down the days. I didn't even realize how late in the school year it was till I read a bunch of Xangas plastered with "only 3 weeks of school left!" and stuff like that.

Anyway, this is a graduation post (duh, look at the title). A sort of catch-all apology.

I think of myself as a mellow person. I don't really enjoy getting people mad or pushing them into arguments. Few people do. But all people do. So I realize that I probably have upset or annoyed a few of you -- maybe even a lot -- during my high school career. If I deeply offended you, I'm sorry and I probably didn't mean it. If I did mean it, I'm still sorry, because perhaps my actions weren't acceptable. Or maybe I'm not, because perhaps my actions were acceptable. Anyway, moving on. I apologize for any incompetency I may have displayed. If I borrowed money from you and didn't pay you back, please tell me the exact sum so that I may be free of debt. For my wallet's sake, please don't be a usurer; my wallet enjoys the company of Mr. Washington, Lincoln, and occasionally Mr. Jackson when he pops in for his characteristic brief visits. If I was lazy, forgive me. Laziness is a character flaw I'm working on eradicating. If you have a bigger, more personal conflict with me, IM me (my sn is jumpspinroll), and hopefully we can work it out. I do not guarantee apologies, only attempts at creating understanding.
